TAM Airlines Firms up Order for 20 Airbus A320 Family Aircraft and Five A350-900s. TAM Airlines (TAM Linhas Aereas) (Sao Paulo) has signed a firm order for 25 Airbus aircraft, bringing the Brazilian airline's total Airbus order book to 176. This order for 20 A320 Family aircraft and five A350-900s follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) announced at ILA Berlin Air Show in June.

 Helicopter Crash Kills Three. Three crew members on board a LifeNet helicopter died as a result of injuries sustained in a crash Wednesday afternoon. Air Methods Corporation says the EuroCopter AS350 was based in Douglas, AZ. The paramedic, flight nurse and pilot were en route from Marana to Douglas. No patients were on board at the time of the crash.


 India to Buy 57 More Hawk Advanced Training Aircraft. Britain’s BAE Systems, the world’s largest defense contractor, recently confirmed a US$780 million deal with India’s Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. which will supply the former British colony with 57 more Hawk advanced trailing aircraft.
